Hi Everyone,

Round two at Phillip Island brought us excellent weather and excitingracing. Unfortunately, an incident during practice resulted in minorinjuries to two members and some serious damage to the karts. Wehope they are recovering well. This serves as a crucial reminder that oursport can be dangerous, and incidents can occur at any time, even duringpractice sessions.

Also at the event, we had six participants completing OLTs, with five passing. It’s encouraging to see new members joining and helping the club grow.

We now have a significant break before Round three due to the cancellation of our April meeting. We willreturn to Broadford in May, which will be the last opportunity for anyone interested in a Try Drive, so pleaseencourage them to sign up once entries open.

• Entries for “The Championship” at The Bend in June are already open, so be sure to submit yours early tosecure your race number, as it’s first come, first served for duplicate entries within classes.

• Recent changes within AASA now require competitors to either hold an AASA license or pay a bridging feefor each event if entering with an MA license. We are currently working on finding the best possible solutionfor our members to minimize costs.

Stay safe and see you at the track.
